The Briscoes defeated the Guerrillas of Destiny, at this Saturday night’s ROH Manhattan Mayhem event to win the ROH World Tag Team Championships for the 11th time. The show aired live on Honor Club but was also taped for a future episode of Ring of Honor television.
Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa won the ROH belts back at G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden this April, defeating Villain Enterprises, Los Ingobernables de Japon and The Briscoes in a Fatal 4-Way match pitting the best of NJPW against the best of ROH.
Mark and Jay Briscoe are essentially competing against themselves now as the greatest tag team in company history. Now into their 11th reign on top of the ROH tag team division, there is no one even close to tying that record. There are in fact only two other teams with three title reigns under their belts, the Young Bucks and ReDragon, and it’s unlikely either of them are going to be available for quite awhile.
The Guerrillas of Destiny remain the IWGP Tag Team Champions.
