Tickets Selling Fast for First Ever NJPW ‘Super J Cup’ Tournament in the U.S.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling recently announced the first ever Super J Cup tournament in the United States, set to take place over three dates this August, all along the west coast.

Tickets are selling tremendously well. The 8/22 event at the Temple Theater in Washington is set up for 1,000 people and according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter there are only 50 tickets available with nearly two months to go before the show. There is still standing room available.

The 8/24 event at San Francisco State University sold out almost instantly.

8/25 at the Walter Pyramid is having a harder time pushing tickets, and are reportedly only setting up a portion of the building, with a lot of tickets left. There’s still plenty of time for that to change, especially once the match cards are released. It’s worth noting that it was expected that this show would sell slower, as NJPW has run the market several times before.
