Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live will see the fallout from WWE Fastlane continue as Kofi Kingston continues to search for a WWE Title shot.
The New Day member is set to confront Vince McMahon, who has been advertised for tonight’s show about his decision to not add him to the WWE Title match at WWE Fastlane.
There will also be fallout from that match, which saw Daniel Bryan retain his championship as a new opponent for WrestleMania 35 must be announced.
Two matches have been advertised ahead of time, with Samoa Joe set to defend his United States Championship yet again as he goes one on one with the former champion, R-Truth.
As well as that, the Hardy Boyz will team up with Ricochet and Aleister Black to take on The Bar and Shinsuke Nakamura and his tag team partner, Rusev, in an eight-man tag team match.
Shane McMahon is also set to address his actions at WWE Fastlane, which saw him brutally attack his former tag team partner, The Miz, in front of his father.
WWE.com is hyping the following points for the show:
- Shane McMahon to address his brutal assault of The Miz at WWE Fastlane
- Mr. McMahon addresses Kofi Kingston
- R-Truth to challenge Samoa Joe for the United States Championship
One of the most shocking moments at WWE Fastlane came after the opening match. Though they came up short in their quest to regain the SmackDown Tag Team Titles from The Usos, all seemed well between Shane McMahon & The Miz as they shook hands and regrouped with The Miz’s father at ringside. However, Shane-O-Mac revealed his true colors shortly after, as he attacked The A-Lister from behind, forcing Miz’s father to watch as he pummeled his son, then put Miz to sleep with a triangle hold. Why did Shane McMahon bring The Co-Besties to an abrupt, brutal end? We may find out when Shane-O-Mac addresses his actions, tonight on SmackDown LIVE at 8/7 C on USA Network!
