Lucha Underground kicked off season four of its TV tapings two weeks ago in Los Angeles, and we noted several names were in attendance for the tapings, including former WWE Diva Candice Michelle. Additionally, former WWE World Champion Jack Swagger worked a dark match during the tapings.
According to PWInsider.com, Impact Wrestling President Ed Nordholm was also in attendance for the tapings, although the exact reason why remains unclear. Nordholm was likely at the tapings due to Impact Wrestling’s new policy of wanting to collaborate with other promotions instead of competing. Furthermore, an Impact vs Lucha Underground Twitch special is currently planned for April 6th at 9pm EST. So far, LU has confirmed both Pentagon, Jr and Fenix for the special.
Additionally, PWInsider reports Aro Lucha’s Jason Brown, as well as Ron and Don Harris, were backstage at the Lucha Underground’s Friday night tapings. The Harris brothers are most recently known for their time in TNA during the Dixie Carter regime.
With regards to Aro Lucha, the company is reportedly seeking talent for its own TV tapings which are taking place later this year in Nashville.
