Triple H Says NXT is “Ready to Take Over 2019”

Triple H recently took to Twitter with a behind-the-scenes pic of him at NXT’s most recent TV tapings. In the Tweet, Hunter points out that the tapings are the last before Takeover: Phoenix and that the brand will take over 2019.

The Game has always been credited for NXT’s ongoing success. What began as WWE’s developmental league has become a viable third brand and much of that can be attributed to Hunter’s efforts. Indeed, many fans feel that NXT is superior to both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live.

2018 was a huge year for NXT. The Undisputed Era reigned over the brand, while Ricochet and The Velveteen Dream captivated crowds with their own unique brands of dynamic storytelling. Aleister Black rose to prominence and The War Raiders wreaked havoc. But 2018 perhaps belonged to Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa.

The former best friends went to war and physically destroyed each other in the ring. Their rivalry became the stuff of legend and the same can be said of the brand itself. NXT has never been hotter and it’s hard to imagine that 2019 can actually top 2018.

But if anyone can oversee that mission, it’s definitely Triple H. 2019 should be an intriguing year indeed.
