Two Legends Return to Impact Wrestling, Title Match & Special Gimmick Match Set for Redemption PPV *Spoilers*

1

It was reported earlier this afternoon that both Tommy Dreamer and Scott Steiner were backstage for tonight’s Impact Wrestling television taping event in Orlando. Both wrestling legends did in fact make their return to the show, and both are now confirmed for championship matches at the April 22nd “Impact Redemption” pay-per-view.

Scott Steiner made his return as the surprise tag team partner of former Global Champion Eli Drake, who recently won a “Feast or Fired” briefcase to earn himself a shot at the Impact World Tag Team Championships. The two will team up to take on LAX for the gold at Redemption.

Tommy Dreamer also made a surprise appearance, making the save for Eddie Edwards and Moose as the two were being assaulted by Sami Callihan and the Crist brothers from OVE. The two sides have been going at it for the last few television taping events, and as we reported over the weekend Edwards was rushed to the hospital after a freak accident involving a baseball bat split him open his head. In a six-man tag team match, it will be all three members of OVE taking on Dreamer, Moose and Edwards in something called a “House of Hardcore” match, which is obviously named after the ECW legend’s popular independent promotion.

Here’s the updated match card:

Impact Global Championship Match
Austin Aries (c) vs. Alberto el Patron

Impact Tag Team Championship Match
Eli Drake & Scott Steiner vs. LAX (c)

House of Hardcore Match
Tommy Dreamer, Moose & Eddie Edwards vs. Sami Callihan & OVE
