MJF and Hangman Page were the final two competitors in the first ever Diamond Dozen Battle Royal this Wednesday night on AEW Dynamite.
12 men entered the match from the very beginning, including Sonny Kiss, Kip Sabian, Pentagon Jr., Jungle Boy and even a surprise return from the “Ass Man” himself, Billy Gunn!
For a moment it looked like Jungle Boy had emerged as one of the final two competitors, alongside Page, but MJF pulled the old “hide outside the ring” trick to eliminate the young Jurassic Express member and win the match.
The two finalists will now face off next Wednesday night on AEW Dynamite live in Chicago, with the winner earning the AEW Diamond Ring. While no specific stipulations have been announced for the coveted ring yet, one would think it would go a long way in determining the next #1 contender.
