Tye Dillinger Provides Injury Update; Reveals That Surgery Is Required

After being pulled from tonight’s WWE SmackDown Live due to injury, Tye Dillinger has provided an injury on the situation via his Twitter account.

The Perfect 10 was originally slated to take on Shinsuke Nakamura for the United States Championship during tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live, but the company revealed the match was pulled due to Dillinger suffering a hand injury during a WWE live event last night.

Instead, Nakamura soundly defeated R-Truth and it seems like that injury to Dillinger might have been worse than first feared as he confirmed via social media that he will need to have surgery.

Tye tweeted to thank fans for the kind words and stated that accidents happen and that although he was hoping it wasn’t serious as he wanted to compete for the United States Championship, however, he stated that surgery is needed, although he doesn’t have a timetable for a return right now.
