DEFIANT Wrestling, formerly known as WhatCulture Pro Wrestling, today announced that they will be closing their doors after three years in business.
The UK promotion was well-known on the independent scene for providing hundreds of hours of wrestling with some of the most incredible names from all around the world, completely free on their YouTube channel. This included a free weekly one-hour series entitled DEFIANT Loaded.
Their last pay-per-view event on June 29th, Built to Destroy, featured David Starr defeating Rampage to win the DEFIANT World Championship, Joe Hendry defeating Martin Kirby to become the new DEFIANT Television Champion, and a tag team ladder match. You can watch the whole thing for free at this link.
You can watch their farewell video, appropriately entitled “Outro” above.
It has been an absolutely incredible journey over the past three years, but it is with a heavy heart that we today announce that the journey must come to an end.⁰⁰
To each and every one of you who worked on a show, attended a show, or watched a show… thank you. pic.twitter.com/ox6G9cNWAH
