Update on 4/22 Impact Redemption PPV & Possible Destination; What Scott Steiner Wasn’t Supposed to Reveal

As noted, Impact Wrestling will be running their next pay-per-view on April 22nd under the name Impact Redemption. It will likely be replacing the long-running TNA Lockdown pay-per-view that previously ran in March or April every year between 2005 and 2014 before becoming a live television special.

Wrestling legend Scott Steiner broke the news at one of last week’s television tapings that the company would be returning to Toronto for the event. In classic Steiner fashion, it looks like “Big Poppa Pump” may have spoken out of turn…

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the original plan was to run Impact Redemption and a set of television tapings at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, but another company had already booked the venue. The plan is still to run on 4/22 as they have just enough television in the bank to make it to the Impact Wrestling episode on 4/19, but as of now they don’t have a building locked in and the roster was instructed not to mention anything about Toronto as the destination.
