It would appear that Flip Gordon may have rushed back to the ring a bit too early from his recent MCL surgery. After re-injuring his knee this past weekend in Northern Ireland, Ring of Honor has pulled the high-flying star from their upcoming Road to G1 Supercard event.
Gordon visited his doctor today (Tuesday) and underwent an MRI, and is waiting to find out whether or not he requires further surgery. Right now the worst case scenario, according to the ROH website, is a meniscus tear that would likely put him back on the shelf for another 4-6 months.
While it is unlikely that he will be able to compete at Madison Square Garden in less than two weeks’ time, he will still be appearing at the Festival of Honor the day before for his advertised meet-and-greet and photo op sessions.
