Update on Laurel Van Ness’ Impact Wrestling Status (Spoiler), Tim Storm Talks Defending NWA Title at CZW Event (Video)

As noted, Laurel Van Ness, who will be crowned the new Impact Knockouts Champion on next week’s edition of Impact Wrestling, has requested her release from Impact.

Impact has yet to grant the release, however, as Van Ness informed the company she wanted to leave after she won the title at the TV tapings in Ottawa. Impact officials felt she should have informed the company prior to winning the title that she wanted to leave, so the feeling is the release will not be granted until Van Ness can drop the title.

During a recent Impact teleconference, Sonjay Dutt noted the following, via SportsKeeda, on Van Ness’ current Impact status:

“Well, to put it simply, she’s the Knockouts Champion, and she’s here. She’s with the company.”
