Sasha Banks Reportedly Tried To Quit WWE Following WrestleMania

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Sasha Banks tried to quit WWE during WrestleMania 35 weekend. Evidently, Banks was unhappy when she found out that she and Bayley were losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships to The IIconics.

Like many WWE fans, Banks was convinced that she and Bayley were going to have a lengthy title run. Indeed, they cut promos about possibly defending their titles on every WWE brand, including NXT. This led many to believe that The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection was only just getting started on their title run.

But those titles are now around the waists of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. That fact alone was enough to make the WWE faithful wonder why the belts changed hands. But that is the reality now, as Bayley and Banks are on the outside looking in. Apparently Sasha wanted more for the titles other than what a comedy act like The IIconics can contribute.

It’s unknown when Sasha will return to WWE programming. The Boss was supposedly told to take a few weeks to think about whether or not she really wanted to leave. It could very well be that Sasha will be back on TV in no time. But then again, it’s also entirely possible that this drama could grow much worse, leaving Sasha’s WWE future up in the air.
