Updates On Sheamus And Tommaso Ciampa Following Nasty Spot On WWE SmackDown Live

#DIY faced The Bar on SmackDown Live this week which saw Tommaso Ciampa and Sheamus involved in a nasty looking spot, appearing to hurt both men.

Ciampa tried to flip over Sheamus on the top rope to come down into a powerbomb but failed to get his feet under him, with Sheamus crashing down onto the knee of Ciampa, whilst Sheamus’ spine slammed into his other leg.

The spot looked incredibly painful and saw both men get hurt on areas where they have issues. Ciampa wears a knee brace on both knees due to injuries whilst Sheamus has battled spinal stenosis during his career.

Fans feared the worst when the referee threw up the dreaded “X” signal, indicating the NXT Champion was legitimately hurt, but he did manage to finish the match, which ended with both men limping around.

However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com has reported that both men were okay following the incident, despite how bad the spot looked. Ciampa did compete at last nights NXT TV tapings which is a clear sign that he is medically fine.
