After last night’s Mae Young Classic Quarter-Final episode, WWE has posted a heartbreaking video of Tegan Nox backstage following the injury.
Nox was legitimately injured during her Quarter-Final match against Rhea Ripley, suffering some major injuries to her knee including; a torn MCL & LCL, a torn ACL, both meniscus’, bone contusions and a second fracture on her left tibia.
The match was immediately stopped by the official, with Ripley being awarded the victory whilst Nox was rushed to the back to see the extent of the injury. Nox had only just returned from a major knee injury that kept her out of last years Mae Young Classic tournament which made the entire situation even more heartbreaking.
Nox was one of the favorites to win the entire competition this year and was expected to be making it all the way to the finals at the very least.
WWE then posted a heartbreaking video of Nox being tended to backstage by doctors, who was cutting off her ring gear with Nox visibly distraught in tears and pain. WWE COO Triple H can then be seen heading over to Nox to comfort her with Nox sobbing and apologizing to The Game.
After seeing the video the NXT Superstar commented on it saying that it means the world to her. Nox stated that Triple H is not only a hero of hers but an incredible human and she can’t thank him and WWE enough.
