Have no fear, Kevin Owens is on his way back to WWE!
The former world champion appeared on Monday’s episode of WWE RAW in a pre-recorded video, apparently shot while he was hanging out with his family at a bowling ally. He revealed that his road to recovery is going well, and doctors have him returning to the ring in about a month.
Owens also noted that the McMahon family has yet to inform him whether he’ll be appearing on RAW or the Smackdown Live brand upon his return, which is odd because he was pretty clearly a RAW Superstar when he left the show due to injury. So much for the brand split.
K.O. has been out of action since shortly after WWE Super Show-Down in early October, and had surgery on both of his knees while away from the ring. In his last night on television he turned babyface in a “double turn” segment involving Bobby Lashley.
The one-month timetable for return puts him back in the middle of March, which could mean he’ll be back in time or shortly after WWE Fastlane on March 10th, to set up a program for WrestleMania. For what it’s worth, it was recently reported that while he is ready to return, the company has no plans to bring him back until after WrestleMania.
