Backstage Update On Eddie Edwards’ Impact Future
With many top stars leaving Impact Wrestling following the last set of TV tapings, including names like EC3 and Bobby Lashley, the future of other top stars in Impact has been in question.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, despite the recent talent departures, Eddie Edwards is expected to stay with Impact Wrestling.
The report adds that when EC3 and Lashley decided they were leaving Impact to pursue other options, Edwards decided to evaluate his other options as well, but it looks like things might have changed for Edwards and the feeling is he will remain with Impact. With new management coming onboard in Anthem Sports and Entertainment, one of the primary reasons why top talents have been leaving is because the company is no longer offering high money, guaranteed deals.
In related news, Eddie Edwards is fine after suffering a nasty injury at the last set of TV tapings. As noted, Edwards was inadvertently stuck with a baseball bat when a spot went awry, and it left the former Impact Champion bleeding profusely. Despite suffering a broken nose and some broken facial bones, Edwards is said to be fine after the injury.
