WWE 205 Live Results (3/12): Tournament Semifinals – Cedric Alexander vs Oney Lorcan, Drew Gulak vs Tony Nese

WWE 205 Live Results
March 12, 2019

— Drew Gulak cut a promo to open the show talking about the semifinals of the 205 Live tournament, and tonight we separate the men from the boys. He said Tony Nese is going to fold under the pressure like he always does, and will tap out just like everyone else who steps to him.

— Nese responds in his own promo putting over Gulak’s technical excellence and says he can’t make any mistakes or his opponent will capitalize on it. He will not give up, and if Gulak thinks he “owns” Tony Nese, he doesn’t know a thing about him.

— Oney Lorcan’s turn. He says Drake Maverick knew what he was getting into when he brought him to 205 Live, and said he knows that Cedric Alexander can be beat, and tonight he proves that. He will put down the Soul of 205 Live.

— Cedric Alexander finishes things off saying that the Cruiserweight division could very well belong to Oney Lorcan one day, but today is not that day. He’s still here and the road to WrestleMania runs through him. He’s been there before, he’s won the title on the Grandest Stage of Them All, and he’s going to win tonight and do it one more time.

(1) Cedric Alexander def. Oney Lorcan in a 205 Live Tournament semifinal round match. This was absolutely tremendous. Go out of your way to see it.

— Mike and Maria Kanellis are backstage with Drake Maverick to say the same thing they’ve been saying for weeks now. Mike’s been in the business for 16 years, he’s being overlooked, etc. etc. Maverick says next week he’ll have a special opponent, but he better win because the 205 Live brand doesn’t have room for losers, and Kanellis is going to have to step up and do something other than looking good in defeat.

— Ariya Daivari cut a great promo saying that he has the ability to make other people look like Superstars in the ring, but that is also his biggest fault, because it’s been holding him back. He’s taking the leash off and will show the world exactly what that means soon.

(2) Tony Nese def. Drew Gulak in a 205 Live Tournament semifinal round match. Another excellent match, as expected.

— Next week’s tournament finals will see Cedric Alexander take on Tony Nese, with the winner advancing to WrestleMania 35 to challenge Buddy Murphy for the Cruiserweight Championship.
