The Shield’s upcoming return at Fastlane is being advertised by WWE as “one last time.” The Hounds of Justice are booked to face Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Baron Corbin in a match at the March 10 event.
This may be nothing more than a follow-up to Roman Reigns’ desire to reunite with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose “one last time” in a promo on the March 4 edition of Monday Night Raw. While no one in WWE is talking about it on the air, the fact is that Ambrose is due to leave the company when his contract expires in late April.
Teasing this latest reunion as perhaps the last one ever is surely an indication that Dean is indeed on his way out. This is despite the fact that many pro wrestling analysts feel Ambrose will ultimately change his mind and re-sign with the company when his contract ends.
If that’s the case, then WWE’s choice of words would be nothing more than just a storyline point, meant to keep his return a surprise. But if Dean is really leaving, then this match will be a must-see for Shield fans that have supported The Lunatic Fringe from day one.
