In the last few years we’ve seen the women of WWE get their very own incarnation of iconic match types such as Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank, Elimination Chamber and of course the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match.
It looks like we’re taking another step in the “women’s revolution” at WrestleMania 34, as WWE has officially announced the first ever Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal for this year’s massive event. This is of course a take on the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, which has taken place on the Grandest Stage of Them All for the last four years. The idea was essentially created to pay tribute to a fallen legend while simultaneously creating a match for 20-30 people that would otherwise not end up on the match card.
So for the first time ever, the women of WWE Raw, Smackdown Live and WWE NXT will compete in an over-the-top-rope battle royal at WrestleMania 34, with the winner earning a trophy paying tribute to WWE Hall of Famer Fabulous Moolah.
