WWE Pushing For Women’s Wrestling Match In Saudi Arabia This Friday

WWE is hoping to make history this Friday in Saudi Arabia.

According to multiple reports from both Fightful.com and Pro Wrestling Sheet, both Natalya and Alexa Bliss are among the Superstars and crew that made their way to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia following Tuesday night’s Smackdown Live taping, with the hopes of putting on the first women’s wrestling match in the nation’s history.

WWE officials have been apparently “going back-and-forth with the Saudi General Sports Authority” for several months, trying to get the would-be groundbreaking match approved. The latest reports state that nothing has been cleared at this point, but WWE is hopeful they’ll get it pushed through before showtime on Friday.

Renee Young was also on the flight and is expected to be providing commentary for the show again, as she did at the Crown Jewel event last year.
