SAMOA JOE vs. KURT ANGLE
Joe gets on the mic and says that he has forgotten his bouquet of flowers for Kurt, and although they have a lot of memories together, but he isn’t a sentimental person. He says that it’s WrestleMania season and superstars around the world are preparing, but he can’t think of a better way to say goodbye to Kurt by putting his ass to sleep one last time.
Joe headbutts Kurt and immediately goes to work on Kurt with multiple strikes before tossing him to the outside. Joe winds up and jumps to the outside, hitting a suicide dive on Angle.
Back in the ring, Joe picks up Angle by his face and starts to talk trash. He hits Angle with a couple of chops and Angle is in trouble. Joe continues hitting strike after strike, then hits a forearm. He goes for a finishing hit, but Angle ducks and hits 3 German suplexes! Joe gets up and hits Angle with an inverted atomic drop before hitting a side suplex and then a senton! Angle gets up and Joe charges at him and Angle moves out of the corner and Joe hits hard, and then Angle delivers an Angle Slam! Angle goes for the cover, But Joe kicks out!
Angle takes the straps down and goes for another Angle Slam but Joe slips behind and locks in the Coquina Clutch! It looks like Angle is fading out slowly, but he launches himself back and puts Joe in a pinning predicament and Joe is unable to break free and Angle gets the surprise victory!
Winner: Kurt Angle
IN RING SEGMENT
Triple H first congratulates Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair for main eventing WrestleMania. He also congratulates every single woman, and he says it was not given, it was earned. He says that kind of thing made him happy. He says that he received a letter that does not make him happy. It is from Batista’s lawyer saying that he won’t be wrestling at WrestleMania…unless he has a bunch of stipulations.
He says that Batista says that Triple H build Evolution because he wanted to hold the World title longer. Triple H says DUH. Eventually Triple H says that the stipulation that Batista wants him to put his career on the line. He says that he doesn’t give a crap about Batista, and he is only obsessed with kicking Batista’s ass. If at this point he can’t beat a self-diluted douche bag like Batista, he has no business being in the ring anyways. He said that Batista wants his career on the line…? He’s got it.
