IN RING SEGMENT
Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring and welcomes us to Monday Night Raw. Kurt gives us a break down of what’s happened since WrestleMania, and tells us that Money In The Bank is coming and it is exciting. He says that both Raw and Smackdown will have a Men’s & Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match. He says that tonight we will have two qualifying matches, which will be triple threats. The first will be Ember Moon vs. Ruby Riott vs. Sasha Banks and the second will be Roman Reigns vs. Finn Balor vs. Sami Zayn.
Out comes Braun Strowman, and the crowd chants “Get These Hands” as Braun grabs a mic. Braun tells a story about how some kids when he was young and they built a tree house without him. So he waited for every kid to get in the tree house and he knocked the whole damn tree down. Kurt admits that Braun has been on a roll, and that he deserves a shot at money in the bank.
Out comes Kevin Owens who looks very unhappy. He says that if anyone deserves to be in that ladder match, it’s him. He says that although Kurt didn’t want him there, he is Raw’s MVP. He has the highest rated segments and people everywhere chant his name. He says that last night the illegal man was pinned, which means that the decision should be reversed and he should be automatically placed in the Money In The Bank ladder match, while Braun should be put in a time out. Kevin Owens says that Kurt should make a decision based on him keeping his job, and that Stephanie is watching.
Kurt thanks Kevin Owens for reminding him that Stephanie is watching, and he was about to announce that Braun Strowman is going to be in a qualifying match for Money In The Bank, and that his opponent is going to be Kevin Owens. And that match starts…RIGHT NOW!
KEVIN OWENS vs. BRAUN STROWMAN
Owens starts fast and tries to beat on Strowman, but Strowman pushes him away quickly, sending Owens crashing into the referee. Strowman picks up Owens and hits him across the chest with a clubbing blow. He then picks up Owens and sends him hard into the turnbuckles and Owens falls to the ground. Strowman picks up Owens, and throws him into the other corner, and Owens falls to the ground again. Strowman is manhandling Owens, and he charges towards Kevin Owens, but Owens dodges and gets to the outside of the ring.
Braun follows and goes towards Kevin Owens and Owens gets on the barricade and delivers a vicious tornado DDT onto the outside off the barricades. Owens ruses inside the ring and tells the referee to count, and the ref administers the 10 count. Strowman slowly but surely gets up and he beats the 10 count. Strwoman gets back in the ring and charges at Owens again and Owens moves out of the way and Braun Strowman goes shoulder first into the ring post. The referee starts the 10 count again and makes it all the way up to 7 before Strowman gets back in the ring.
Owens has the upper hand and he has a headlock on Strowman, while Strowman fights back. Owens runs off the ropes and Strowman catches him by the throat and hits Owens with a chokeslam! Strowman waits for Owens to get up and he picks up Owens in position for the running powerslam, but Owens is able to wriggle out and starts hitting kicks and strikes to the legs of Braun Strowman, cutting him down to size. Owens hits Strowman with a senton and goes for the cover, but STROWMAN KICKS OUT AT ONE!
Strowman gets up and is met with a big kick to the face of Strowman, and Owens climbs the top rope and hits a huge frog splash and Owens goes for the cover again and this time Strowman kicks out at two. Owens tries to hit Strowman with a pop up powerbomb, but Strowman gets out and hits Owens with a clothesline, and Owens escapes out of the ring. Strowman gives chase and runs right through Kevin Owens, sending Owens crashing. Owens struggles to get up, but Strowman runs around the ring and crushes Owens once more, turning Owens inside out. He throws Owens back in the ring and hits the running powerslam to pick up the victory.
