WWE Raw Results (8/19): New Champions Crowned, The Fiend Attacks Again, 1st Round KOTR Matches



Jerry “The King” Lawler is in the middle of the ring to interview Sasha Banks. But before he introduces her, he talks about The King Of The Ring. He shows the bracket for the tournament and says that this could change lives as it did for many Hall of Famers. Some great superstars are in the the tournament, and on the Raw side it is going to come down to Ricochet and Cedric Alexander…and on the Smackdown side……

The lights start to go out….OH NO. WE KNOW WHERE THIS GOES! Jerry says he is getting out of here, he has seen this before and he runs up the ramp. The lights go completely out and then the spotlight shines on Lawler at the top of the ramp. Suddenly Bray Wyatt as “THE FIEND” appears behind him and King turns around into a mandible claw! He locks it in on Lawler as he collapses and the lights go out once again, only to hear the eerie laughter.


The Miz is in the ring with Baron Corbin and Corbin hits Miz with rights and lefts. He tags in McIntyre who comes in and delivers an overhead belly to belly suplexes. McIntyre picks him up and pushes him off the ropes. He telegraphs but Miz hits McIntyre with a DDT!

Miz tags in Ricochet, who goes INSANE and knocks McIntyre out of the ring. He hits Corbin with a big Enziguri before McIntyre is able to come in and hits Ricochet with a big boot. Miz comes in and he’s also taken out by McIntyre. McIntyre looks to nail the Claymore on Ricochet, but Ricochet ducks and instead Miz is able to hit McIntyre with a Skull Crushing Finale!

McIntyre rolls out of the ring but Corbin comes and hits Miz with a choke slam. He looks to do the same to Ricochet, but Ricochet flips out, bounces off the ropes, and then gets hit with the Deep Six! Ricochet gets up in the corner and Corbin looks to splash him, but Miz pulls Ricochet out of the way and Ricochet hits Corbin with the Recoil to pick up the victory!

Winners: Ricochet & The Miz


Booker T is interviewed and is asked about Bray Wyatt. Booker says that Jerry Lawler was in the wrong place in the wrong time. He is then asked about The King of The Ring. Booker says that it catapulted him to new heights and puts a stamp on your career. Booker gives his prediction, which is Drew McIntyre.
