WWE has revealed the bracket for NXT’s Breakout Tournament. The tournament was announced on the June 19 edition of NXT by General Manager William Regal, who said it’s all about opportunity.
“At this moment, we have more talent in the NXT Performance Center than ever before. So I’ve decided to give eight of those talent an opportunity that haven’t had an opportunity on NXT TV before.
The winner of that tournament, which will start next week, will get to have a championship match of their choosing.”
It’s an intriguing tournament, mostly due to the level of talent involved. The eight men competing in the tourney are Jordan Myles, Boa, Cameron Grimes, Isaiah Scott, Dexter Lumis, Bronson Reed, Angel Garza and Joaquin Wilde. Garza will face Wilde in the first round tournament opener on June 26
This move was surely not surprising to many NXT fans, who have been waiting to see how the black and gold brand will fill the void left behind after Ricochet and Aleister Black joined WWE’s main roster. The Breakout Tournament will indeed give a chance for fresh faces to shine in NXT.
