SMACKDOWN PREPARES FOR AN INVASION

We kickstart the show with the entire SmackDown locker room stood backstage as King Corbin tries to talk to them, but nobody will listen. That changes when Roman Reigns appears as he addresses the roster saying they won’t act like cowards as Corbin would.

Roman says that they are opening up the door, and they are going to whoop everyone’s ass. Corbin and Roman begin arguing until Sasha Banks stops them and she says they the SmackDown women’s division takes care of business. The SmackDown women’s team for Sunday then leave the group while the rest of the locker room stands and argues.

SASHA BANKS CALLS OUT RAW

Sasha Banks and the SmackDown women’s team then make their way to the ring and she says it is their ring and their show. The Boss says they are putting their differences between them because nobody is going to be jumping them from behind.

Banks says that NXT doesn’t have the guts to appear tonight, but she knows the Raw team is here and she calls them out.

Charlotte Flair and Team Raw then appear, with Flair saying they would have kicked the door down even if they hadn’t opened it for them. Flair challenges Sasha Banks to a one-on-one match for old times sake.

But as the two teams square-off, NXT’s ladies appear! It seems like we now know NXT’s team, as well, as five ladies appear:

-Rhea Ripley
-Toni Storm
-Tegan Nox
-Mia Yim
-Candice LeRae

*Commentary are still claiming we don’t know the team for NXT, so this isn’t confirmed*

Ripley says NXT does have guts, and since the captains are ready to go one on one, she wants to make it a triple threat as she announces she is the captain of Team NXT. With all of the women arguing, the inevitable brawl then breaks loose as we head to commercial.

RHEA RIPLEY vs CHARLOTTE FLAIR vs SASHA BANKS

As we return from commercial the triple threat match is officially underway and Ripley and Flair take out the Boss with a double big boot to start the match. As the two women then standoff, Charlotte takes Rhea down, but the inaugural NXT UK Champion matches her by doing the same.

After Charlotte misses wildly with an elbow, Ripley uses her strength and takes Flair to the corner, but as she starts gaining momentum she is flattened by a big boot. The two women continue brawling, with Flair now taking Ripley into the corner but she is then caught as Rhea moves, leading to Charlotte going head-first into the turnbuckle.

But with Ripley’s back turned, Banks makes her way back and hits a backbreaker and then a huge kick to the face of Rhea. However, the NXT star continues to prove herself, hitting a huge clothesline as she then dumps Sasha to the outside.

However, as she tries to through her back into the ring, Banks spins through and catches Rhea with a kick to the face. Banks is then shoved into Nikki Cross by Charlotte Flair, smashing her into the steel steps.

This leads to a big argument between the SmackDown team, allowing Ripley to take advantage as she brawls with Banks on the outside. But both women are then taken out by a huge moonsault from Charlotte Flair as she leaps to the outside.

As we return back from commercial it is Ripley in charge as she bounces Banks off the top turnbuckle, face-first. However, as Flair returns to the action, she hits Natural Selection on Banks, but Rhea is able to break up the pinfall before she can gain the win.

Ripley misses wildly with a dropkick though and that allows Flair to hit Natural Selection on her, but she smartly gets out of the ring. Flair then focuses back on Banks and locks in the Figure Four, but just as it seems she has things wrapped up, Ripley smartly gets into the ring and pins Flair while she has the submission locked in, unable to kick out.

Winner: Rhea Ripley

After the match, the NXT team gets out of dodge, while Team Raw and Team SmackDown beat the hell out of each other in the ring.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT

Backstage, King Corbin says he needs to lead by example as he tells Roode and Ziggler that they need to prepare to be attacked. He says when they show up, they’re going to roll out of the ring and let Raw and NXT beat up Roman Reigns and his partners, and then they will do the same.

Sami Zayn then appears with a mystery bag, but Corbin says he is the most annoying person on the roster. Zayn challenges Corbin to call him out in the ring and Sami’s music hits as he heads out to the ring with Shinsuke Nakamura.
