WWE Smackdown Results (6/26): A Tribute To The Undertaker

Universal Champion Braun Strowman makes his way out and tells us all a bed time story about how “The Devil” convinced him to do his dirty work. The big man got dark and said that Bray Wyatt made him do the most despicable and awful things, and the worst part of it is… that he actually really enjoyed every second of it. Strowman said they weren’t going to settle things in the ring, because he’s ready to go back home to where it all started. He starts laughing maniacally like Wyatt, and gives an insane smile. Let’s go back to the swamp…

King Baron Corbin vs. Jeff Hardy

Hardy sends his opponent over the rope and follows with a baseball slide, but gets caught with a blow to the side of the head. The two brawl around ringside until Hardy sends Corbin flying over the commentary desk, into Michael Cole and Corey Graves. He does a bit of grandstanding with the “fans” before stomping a mudhole in the corner.

Whisper in the Wind coming, but Corbin rolls out of the way and throws him into the corner post. Aaaaand just like that the “Charismatic Enigma” is on the floor, lifeless. It doesn’t take much, apparently! Meanwhile, Corbin drops to one knee and starts mocking the Undertaker’s pose… [Commercial]

Back from break, and the rest of the Smackdown babyface roster has surrounded the ring. They’re out to cheer for Jeff Hardy as he is now apparently fighting for the honor of the Deadman. Okay then.

Corbin controls the match for several minutes, dropping Hardy with suplexes and throwing him hard into the turnbuckles, repeatedly. They fought outside and he smashed Hardy’s face into the plexiglass. It’s not a lumberjack match, so nobody could do anything about it.

After quite a while Jeff shows signs of life and tries to fight his way back with rights and lefts. He comes off the ropes but gets planted with Deep Six for two-and-a-half. Back outside they go. Corbin ends up ramming his own shoulder into the steel steps, and Hardy takes advantage of the moment. Swanton Bomb connects for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Jeff Hardy

After the match, Corbin attacked Hardy from behind and put a beating on him. Kofi Kingston rushed the ring but got throw over the ropes. Big E with the Big Ending to the King!

Braun Strowman comes down the ramp and slowly gets in the ring. Running powerslam! The champ wants Matt Riddle in the ring! The Original Bro obliges, climbing to the top rope and delivering the Broton Bomb to a murdered Baron Corbin!

All the babyfaces celebrated together as Jeff Hardy hit the Undertaker pose in the middle of the ring. You can really tell who WWE wants to be a major deal, because up on the turnbuckles were Matt Riddle, The New Day and Braun Strowman, with everyone else down on the ground.
