WWE Smackdown Results (6/4): Goldberg Confronts The Undertaker!

WWE Smackdown Results
June 4, 2019

WWE Champion Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are out to a great reaction to start the show. Kingston talked about all the blessings in his life and things he’s been able to accomplish; all the championships, all the friendships, and all the pancakes. He said all the accolades pale in comparison to being able to be an influencer and to be a role model for people all around the world.

They rolled a video package of Kofi’s trip him to Ghana, meeting the President, and meeting tens of thousands of fans from all around the country. Back in the ring, the champ is starting to tear up as the crowd gives him a huge chant. He talked about going home and hugging his grandmother for the first time in 30 years, and the look on all the faces of the kids – but was cut off by Dolph Ziggler…

The crowd booed Ziggler as he called Kingston an “inspiration and a role model”, but once again reiterated that it should have been him with all the success, and cuts to his own video package. The video shows footage from his time in developmental all the way up to the last few years, as he claims he has “nothing to show” for all his years. I guess millions of dollars and numerous titles is nothing…?

Ziggler admits that Kingston is the hero right now, but all the fans will eventually realize that HE is the real hero of this story. It should have been him. The champ says that everyone knows that Ziggler has had a great career. Hell, when he won the Intercontinental title for the first time, Ziggler beat him to do it. More video packages!

They role footage of December 19, 2017 when Dolph ZIggler mysteriously left the United States Championship laying in the ring, and walked out of the company without ever giving an explanation. Kingston said that if it should have been Ziggler, it WOULD have been Ziggler, if he wasn’t the kind of person who quits, and takes himself out of the game. That’s the difference between the two of them. Kofi doesn’t quit – not on himself, not on his brothers, and not on the WWE Universe.

Ziggler says that it should have been him, and that at WWE Super Showdown this Friday, it will be him. Kingston says that while he is WWE Champion, and while he has breath in his lungs, it will NEVER be him. The Showoff eventually takes his leave, but not before Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn could make their way to the ring…
