IN-RING PROMO

We kick things off this week with the former United States Champion, Jeff Hardy, who makes his way to the ring to a fantastic ovation. Jeff says he may look like Jeff Hardy, make an entrance like him but he doesn’t feel like him, he feels like something is missing. Hardy claims his heart is broken… because he isn’t the US Champion anymore.

He goes on to say that Shinsuke Nakamura proved he is a jackass, hitting him with a low blow because he knows that is the only way he could’ve beaten him. He says tonight he is thinking mega clear and is focused on making Shinsuke face as much pain as possible, to make sure Shinsuke fades away and classify’s himself as obsolete and to win back his United States Championship.

Backstage Renee Young gets Nakamura’s thoughts and the champion says him being champion is a reason to smile and that he will retain the title, finishing off by saying “God Bless America.”

AJ STYLES vs ANDRADE “CIEN” ALMAS

The former NXT Champion starts things off setting the pace with a hip toss which he follows up by tripping AJ Styles face first into the mat and then again with an elbow. The pace then picks up as AJ attempts to get some offense in for the first time but after the irish whip Almas dives into the ropes to hit his trademark pose, whilst AJ’s attempted dropkick falls flat.

Back from the break and AJ Styles managed to hit a low cross body, but Almas quickly turned things back into his favor with a great dropkick which took down the champion. Styles then attempted to light up Almas with quick shots, but Almas responded with a big elbow before he drove AJ into the canvas from the ropes after a back breaker.

Almas then attempted his running knee finisher but AJ reversed it by getting up to his feet and dropping Almas straight onto his knee. AJ then got ready to hit the Phenomenal Forearm but Almas smartly took out the top rope to drop AJ hard onto the mat.

The ex NXT Champion then missed with the moonsault but followed through with another flip to land the move, though Styles managed to kick out just in time. Almas then looked for a suplex but Styles reveresed which he did again, hitting Almas with a Pele Kick whilst Almas was perched on the top turnbuckle.

AJ then attempted to take him out from the top turnbuckle but Almas reversed, dropping the knees to AJ on the mat which set up his running knee finisher, yet somehow AJ Styles managed to kick out, a fantastic near fall! Andrade then attempted hit Hammerlock DDT but AJ reversed it smartly to lock in the Calf Crusher and he forced Andrade to tap out after a very entertaining match.

Winner: AJ Styles
