WWE SmackDown Results (5/22): Charlotte Flair Battles Bayley, Intercontinental Title Tournament Rolls On, More

Backstage Sasha Banks is hugging and celebrating with Bayley after her big victory. Bayley questions if Sasha didn’t think she could win, teasing a little tension. However, she quickly says she’s joking and the go back to celebrating.

Otis makes it clear he wants Dolph Ziggler straight away and he immediately outpowers Dolph and then slams him in the middle of the ring before hitting a huge splash in the corner. Dolph then tags out, bringing the women into action and Sonya turns things around in this one.

She takes the fight to Mandy, slapping the taste out of her mouth, but Mandy fights back and charges Sonya down. But while she’s beating down Sonya, Dolph pulls Otis off the ring apron and launches him into the steel steps.

With Rose distracted, Deville takes advantage and catches Mandy with some big forearms, but Rose finally responds with some slaps only to get taken down again. However, Deville takes too long trash-talking and eventually runs straight into a huge knee from Mandy.

Otis finally comes in and he pancakes Dolph, connecting with a big splash in the corner which he follows up with another. But Deville tags in and once again the two women continue brawling, while Otis keeps up his attack of Dolph on the outside.

Mandy connects with a running kick, but Deville responds with a knee and then a huge running knee to the back of the neck and they get the win, with Otis distracted on the outside fighting Ziggler.

Winners: Sonya Deville & Dolph Ziggler

Jeff Hardy is then shown backstage where he says when he first asked the fans to join him for one last good run, he didn’t know where it would take him. However, he now knows the Intercontinental Championship is exactly that, which is special for him as it was the first title he ever won. He thinks winning it would be a great full-circle moment.
