WWE Smackdown Results (11/1): It’s A Full-Blown NXT Invasion!

SHAYNAWelcome to our live coverage page for tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night Smackdown! Coverage begins at 8:00 PM ET and remember to refresh for updated results throughout the evening.

In case you haven’t heard, the majority of the WWE roster and its crew are still stuck in Saudi Arabia (sans the women’s division, obviously) so we legitimately have no idea what they’re going to do for two hours.

NOVEMBER 1, 2019

The beautiful voice of Tom Phillips welcomes us to Smackdown once again, joined by Renee Young and Aiden English. Tom explains the travel issues with the talent and crew in Riyadh. This is going to be an interesting night, to say the least…

Brock Lesnar makes his way to the ring to kick things off, followed closely by his advocate as per usual. Heyman proceeds to cut the slowest promo in the history of the world, which basically amounts to Lesnar being pissed off after being attacked by Rey Mysterio and a steel chair at Crown Jewel.

They roll footage of the entire Lesnar vs. Velasquez match from start to finish. Heyman then gets back on the mic and continues to speak… as slowly… as humanly… possible. Time for more Crown Jewel footage, this time of the entire post-match attack from Mysterio.

Heyman explains that they are upset because Raw and Smackdown stars are now exclusive to their brands, which means that Mysterio can’t actually come to Smackdown and face his client like a man. So here’s what they’re going to do: Lesnar quits Smackdown. He’s done with the show, and he’s done with FOX. Instead, they’re going to show up on Raw next Monday and go hunting for Rey Rey, and there’s not a damn thing anyone can do about it.

After a commercial break, Lesnar and Heyman are shown walking through the backstage area and eventually out the back door, leaving the arena. The cameras pan around and Triple H is standing there with an aggravated look on his face. Shawn Michaels walks up in an NXT hat and the two get a massive reaction from the crowd!

Sasha Banks is out with her bestie at ringside. Cross starts off with several pinning combinations but can’t quite find one that works, before sending the champ flying outside with a running dropkick. She follows with a big dive, rolls her back in but only gets two. Bayley ends up taking control during the commercial break off a distraction from Sasha. This ends up being a reoccurring theme as the champ takes cheap shot after cheap shot, while keeping her opponent as grounded as possible.

Cross eventually rallies and starts going nuts with forearm strikes and sets up for something big, but Banks gets up on the apron and once again allows Bayley to hit a big suplex. She hits an elbow drop from the top rope, but it’s still not enough and the crowd comes alive! Cros goes to the floor and traps Bayley in the apron skirt, blasting her with a dozen forearms and bashing her head off the edge of the ring. The ref goes to check on her, and Banks uses the opportunity to attack Cross and throw her back in the ring. Bayley rolls her up and gets the win to retain.

Winner & Still Champion: Bayley

As they are celebrating their “big win”, Sasha Banks is attacked and rammed into the ring post by… SHAYNA BASZLER! The NXT Women’s Champion is here! Baszler rushes the ring and starts throwing around Bayley with suplexes left and right, before hitting her with a gutwrench Flatliner. The Smackdown champ is still stirring, albeit barely, so Baszler nails her with a brutal knee strike to knock her out cold.
