WWE’s overseas tour rolls on today as the company will tape this week’s edition of WWE Smackdown from The O2 Arena in London, England.
We will be providing live spoiler results coverage below from today’s tapings which should begin at around 2:30pm EST. We will also be providing our normal live coverage of Smackdown tonight when it airs at 8pm EST.
-Daniel Bryan opens the show and cuts a promo saying his goal is to become WWE Champion. In the middle of his promo he is interrupted by Big Cass and the two end up getting into a brawl. The brawl ends with Daniel Bryan locking in the Yes Lock until WWE officials pulled the two apart.
-In a tag team match, The New Day defeated The Bar meaning a member of The New Day will advance to the Money in the Bank Match.
-Cut to the back and GM Paige announces Becky Lynch vs Mandy Rose vs Sonya Deville in a Triple Threat Money in the Bank Ladder Match qualifying match will take place later tonight.
-Andrade “Cien” Almas then makes his WWE Smackdown debut and defeats a local enhancement talent. After the match, Zelina Vega gets on the mic and cuts a promo touting Almas’ arrival on the blue brand.
-Lana then does an interview backstage and announces she will be in a Money in the Bank qualifying match next week on Smackdown, and if she advances, she and Rusev could be the first-ever Mr. and Mrs. Money in the Bank.
-It’s now time for Carmella’s “Mellabration”. The Smackdown Women’s Champion hits the ring and begins running down England and The Royal Family. This prompts GM Paige to hit the ring and announce that at WWE Money in the Bank, Asuka will get a shot at the Smackdown Women’s Title when she faces Carmella in a singles match.
-Paige announces Jeff Hardy vs The Miz for the U.S. Title will take place later tonight, but the correspondent noted the bout might be the dark match main event of the night.
-Becky Lynch defeated Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville in a Triple Threat Match to advance to the Money in the Bank ladder match.
-Shinsuke Nakamura defeated AJ Styles in a non-title match. Nakamura will get to name his stipulation for the Styles vs Nakamura Title Match taking place at WWE Money in the Bank. This ended the taping.
