Just where the future superstars should train, a school ran by a guy that has accomplished little more then nothing…..

    • ALLAN

are u kidding? do u know how many greats were trained by guys who ended up being nothing… wrestling is A popularity contest. you could get trained by great muta and ric flair still doesnt mean your going to be s***…. hawkins is a great wrestler and thats all that matters when it comes to schools.

      • fateunknown

I hear Gillberg runs a school, lets see all the greats that came out of there…………ZERO!
Feel free to enlighten me of all the greats that were trained by nobodys, If you can name a handful you will get a cookie!

        • Guest

          okay

Ron Hutchinson – didn’t do much in the ring.
          He trained :

Christian, Edge, Gail Kim, Sinn, Tiger Singh, Traci Brooks, Trish Stratus….

          Dave Taylor

Ace Steel, CM Punk, Cesario, Chris Daniels,

          Scott D’Amore – mostly a manager

didn’t catch on until after he trained: Rhino, Petey Williams, Chris Sabin, Eric Young, Alex Shelley.

Emille Dupree: Kurrigan, Jackal, Rene Dupree,

Larry Sharpe -he was not a huge draw as a wrestler.
Trained: Big Show, Chris Candido, Godfather, Chris Harris, Bam Bam bigelow, Headbangers..

now….Why anyone that would ever want to train with someone who has been on the WWE roster for a decade like Curt Hawkins is beyond me….(read sarcasm)

I wouldn’t call him a nobody. He’s been on the roster and working longer than a lot of “talent”

          • fateunknown

Ron Hutchinson Trained those people and they were all nobodys TILL they got REAL training by WWF Developmental by Dory Funk among others.

Dave Taylor: Decades long career while wrestling for MANY promotions all over the world, FAR from a nobody.

Scott D’Amore: …..ya got me there lol there is 1 for ya! I suppose cream always rises to the top!

Emille Dupree: 30+ year career all while wrestling all over the world, plus the people that he trained are not exactly any good lol

Larry Sharpe: Another guy with a long career with a ton of experience, plus he ran his school with Nature Boy Buddy Rogers, another guy with tons of experience.

So you got ONE! lets see folks would I rather get trained by someone who wrestled all over, had decades of expertise and is respected by other OR get trained by a guy who has LESS then 10 years in the business, spent his whole career in the east coast area and basically was only trained by WWE Developmental????

            Dude your not gonna win….

          • ceeboox

Ron Hutchinson is one if the best trainers in history.

            but what do i know

            I haven’t been there
            i just use wiki…

          • ceeboox

and Im not trying to “win”

just making an example that maybe – just maybe some people in the industry – you know IN the industry don’t see Hawkins as a nobody

          • fateunknown

Seeing as pro wrestling trainees are not “IN” the industry, Which is why every nobody that failed either opens up a “school” or runs a promotion that they are champion of ……

The point being, a good trainer has tons of experience, been to many different places with different styles of wrestling and is respected among his peers, this guy has been nowhere and done pretty much nothing outside of the WWE system.

          • ceeboox

That is just such a better description of your observation than your previous post. Completely less arrogant sounding and non confrontation sounding, which is all anyone does on this site- and is a well informed and very good point.

            Intelligence is a virtue.

This site brings out the worst. But a goid conversation about s*** we love is so much more appealing

            Thanks, dude

          • ceeboox

            My grammar is garbage.

        • ceeboox

          • ALLAN

i dont believe taylor trained punk i think steel did and he was trained by taylor, but you should add chris hero to that. and ace steel has trained alot of guys

        • ALLAN

horrible point lol , read the post below, almost all of the greatest stars came from nothing trainers dude, and hawkins is a much better wrestler then gilberg and highly respected as a performer

you know how many people guys trained with guys like the great muta and dory funk too great trainers. and ended up being nothing? alot

being trained by someone good can help you but it only gets you so far but if your looking to learn wrestling id say a great wrestler under wwe contract and trained nxt guys is a good way to go.

          • fateunknown

Good lord you are exactly what is wrong with wrestling, sure lets everyone get trained by people who have next to zero training! look around your area I am sure you will find a washed up 2 year vet that will teach you the ropes kid! The worst part of your post is also your most accurate, yep curt hawkins is a PERFORMER! so is a clown at the circus, a magician and a mime! guess what? PERFORMERS DON’T DRAW A DIME! WORKERS DO! if they did Taka Michinoku would have been the face of the attitude era.
Wrestling today is filled with PERFORMERS, anyone can get inside a ring and learn some moves, there are so little actual workers left!
